The 9522 LBT is intended for incorporation into a final Iridium subscriber product that would supply power, provide an antenna, and provide user interface components such as a keypad, display, microphone, and speaker. If the final product supports a data mode, an RS232 data interface would also be included. Regulatory approval for FCC, Canada and CE will be provided for the 9522 LBT assuming an antenna with a gain of <3 dBi. This will allow the 9522 LBT to be integrated into a variety of subscriber products, as well as retrofitted into existing LBT-based subscriber products. These products, when integrated together will require Regulatory testing. The functional capabilities of the 9505 handset provide the baseline for the 9522 LBT, noting that user interface components must be added to the 9522 LBT in order to access such functionality. The ISU AT Command Reference and the Satellite Series 9505 Portable Telephone User’s Guide provide information relevant to the 9522 LBT’s functional capabilities.

All recharge payments have to be processed before the validity date of your sim card expires as any unused minutes will be lost when an account exceeds its validity period. Inmarsat mini-M is a mobile global telephone service offering voice, fax and data connection from compact terminals in laptop sized cases weighing less than 2.5 kg.
Business professionals on the move, remote workers and travellers can use all the facilities of standard office applications (telephone, e-mail, fax, file retrieval, Internet access and database access at 2.4kbit/s) while beyond the reach of conventional communication networks.

EDC’s Inmarsat Accounting Services offer consolidated or split billing in one currency and competitive Inmarsat communication charges for all Inmarsat communication services.
As from 2002 EDC (Holding) has been officially appointed an Inmarsat Point of Service Activation (PSA). In order to use a Mobile Earth Station (MES) it must first be activated for service. As an official PSA, EDC is contracted to Inmarsat to accept and process your applications for the service activation of Inmarsat terminals, assign Inmarsat Mobile Numbers (IMN) and to transmit customer service activation information to Inmarsat’s Customer Activation Group and appropriate national regulatory institutions.

Achieving a flow of accurate, up-to-date information from, and exercising control over, remote installations has always been a complex and expensive exercise. Now Inmarsat D+ satellite communication services offer a low-cost, highly-reliable mobile solution for supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA).
The range of possible D+ applications is nearly endless: from tracking trucks in Belgium, busses in Namibia, sail boats in Argentina, or railwagons in Central Africa, to opening banking vaults remotely in Brazil, engine monitoring in South Africa, monitoring of ATM machines in Venezuela or power lines in South America.
D+ is a global mobile telecommunications system, which supports bi-directional store-and-forward short message data communications. It is the perfect high quality, affordable communication solution for those requiring short data messaging across wide or remote areas. No matter how inhospitable a location or how extended a network, the D+ system can link mobile units anywhere in the world to the computers that control them.
Data packets can be transmitted from remote (mobile) sites at pre-programmed time-intervals. Alternatively, D+ terminals can be interrogated for data, or control instructions can be sent to activate or adjust their remote functions.
The control station (being a computer system such as a (portable) PC or server) running application software designed for a specific end-to-end solution, (e.g. tracking and tracing, telemetry or person to person messaging) is linked through the terrestrial telephone network with the Inmarsat-D+ Land Earth Station.
'From-terminal' D+ messages are generally sent in the form of macro-code. This can comprise up to 64 bits of data, enough for GPS position reports, alarms or telemetry data and an unlimited number of application-defined macro-codes. Every message is automatically identified with a terminal and receives a date/time stamp when it passes through the Land Earth Station, a few seconds after being sent.
'To-terminal' D+ messages have many different uses, including simple commands to the remote location, configuration instructions, position or status polling and text messages. Up to 2000 bits of information can be sent in a single to-terminal message, though it is more economic to minimise the amount of data using macro-codes.
D+ satellite communication services perfectly meet the needs of the international road transport industries. Locating, tracking and monitoring vehicle fleets for better utilisation, keeping track of sensitive and high value loads, and the vehicles that carry them, no matter where they go.
A vehicle, no matter how remote its route, is never out of range with Inmarsat D+, making it also an ideal communications system for security alerting. A sensor triggered alarm signal can automatically include location and direction of travel information, enabling the control center or the authorities to take action or send assistance immediately.
